What is this feature?
This feature lets you offer paid 1-hour expertise calls directly from your Malt profile. Clients can book a slot with you for advice, feedback, or expertise on a specific topic — before or independently of a longer project.
You can:
- Set your rate (minimum €100, no maximum)
- Set your availability
- Explain what clients can expect from the call
- Enable or disable the feature at any time
For now, a 30% commission applies on the freelancer side for these micro-consulting calls.
When will clients be able to book calls?
Clients should be able to book calls this summer.
For now, we invite you to set up your profile and availability so you are ready when bookings open. Calendar sync is not yet available, but it is coming soon.
How does a call work?
A client books and prepays a 1-hour session directly on Malt.
Before the call, the client can share context and questions so you can prepare. You will receive a Google Meet link by email for the session.
Payment is released once the call has taken place and been confirmed by the client.
I do not have access yet. What should I do?
This feature is currently in very limited beta and access is granted by Malt only.
If you do not have access yet, we recommend creating a Malt account and completing your profile as usual. We are gradually opening the feature to more freelancers over time.
