Why invite my client to Malt?
Whether or not your client already uses Malt, invite them to join the platform so you can both benefit from Malt's full range of services for your projects. Benefits include:
- A secure environment for all your projects: payments usually processed within 3 business days and professional liability insurance
- Simplified admin with online quotes and invoices
- Direct access to large companies without intermediaries, with support from the dedicated Malt team
- Stronger profile visibility through experiences and reviews from new clients
In France, reduced service fees of 2% excl. VAT apply to freelancers for all projects contracted with that client. For clients: the service is free*.
Some clients already on Malt — mainly corporate accounts — already benefit from negotiated rates with Malt (such as payment by invoice). In those cases, the corresponding client fees apply while you benefit from the 2% excl. VAT rate.

How do I send a quote to my client?
- Go to My freelancer workspace, then click Create a quote.
- Add your client by entering their details: company name, client name, email, and country of registration.
- Complete your proposal details and send the quote to your client.
Your client will receive an email notification about the quote you sent via Malt. If they do not yet have an account, they will be invited to create one to accept your proposal. Once the quote is accepted, the project follows its usual course.
Important: if the client already has a Malt account, standard fees will apply to your project, even if you invited them from your dashboard.
