What actions do I need to take during registration?
1. Provide your personal and professional details when registering. This lets Malt contact you about relevant projects and connect you with clients seeking your skills.
2. You must have legal status (self-employed or a registered company) to work on Malt and receive payments. If your company is being registered, funds are released after your documents are validated.
3. You must be over 18 or an emancipated minor.

Sign our freelance charter:
The freelance charter outlines Malt’s values, rules, and best practices for the community.
Once you accept the charter, your commitment to professionalism and Malt’s values is highlighted in your profile’s “Verifications” block, visible to clients. Signing reassures clients and encourages them to offer you assignments.
Posting false information or outsourcing work can result in profile moderation or lower search rankings as Malt enforces this policy.
How to receive projects on Malt?
Malt is a direct contact platform—no ads are posted. Clients reach out to freelancers via the Malt inbox to offer projects, which freelancers can accept or decline based on availability.
Once accepted, freelancers send a proposal or quote for client approval. The project begins as soon as the quote is validated.
If you fall under the Malt Strategy category, clients will not be able to contact you directly.
Proposals will always be carefully screened by our selection team, who will contact you to find out if you are interested in the project and if you are available.
