This article explains how to manage your Malt freelancer account settings: identity, email, phone, privacy, notifications, and account deletion.
In summary:
Access settings from the side menu in your Malt workspace.
You can update your name, email, phone, search-engine visibility, and notifications.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Change my first and/or last name You can choose how your Malt identity is displayed. To manage this, go to your account settings from the side menu in your Malt account and select the “Settings” section. If you use a pseudonym, it will appear only on your public profile. However, your full name and surname will always be shown on your invoices, as provided in your legal information.
You will have to enter your password to be able to make the change. If you are connected with your Google or Facebook account, you will have to enter the password associated with that account.
Please note that some notifications are mandatory and cannot be turned off, such as updates to our General Conditions or communications from our Support, Accounting, or Moderation teams.
Once done, your account, your profile, your identification and browsing data and, if applicable, as well as the comments and recommendations you have left or received will be eliminated from our databases. All your information will also be removed from our email databases.
If your profile was set up to be visible on search engines (Google, Bing, etc.), it may remain visible for anywhere from 15 days to several weeks while search engine optimization is updated. This is not under Malt's control.
Once the account is deleted, it will no longer be possible to recover the data.
