Choose your overall expertise
Based on your previous experience, select the option that best suits your expertise, either: Management consultant or Interim Executive
Add your Job Title
Enter a job title that is clear and concise, so potential clients immediately understand what you do. This also helps us suggest the most suitable job category for you later on.
Job category and level of experience
Our algorithm will recommend the categories that best match your job title.
If you don’t find the right fit, you can always add a category manually by clicking the “Can’t find the right categories?” link.
The job category is crucial for the matching process. The first category you select will be your preferred one, and it should represent the type of projects you’d most like to work on.
Would you like me to refine this further to make it even more concise, or keep the slightly detailed instructional style?
Add your functional expertise and skills
Select the functional expertise that best matches your background. You can choose up to 10 skills across areas such as Organization & IT, Operations, Leadership & Management, Marketing & Sales, Market Analysis, Finance, and Strategy.
You can also manually add other skills or tools if needed.
Skills play a crucial role in the matching process, helping the algorithm better understand the scope of your experience. The goal isn’t to select as many skills as possible, but rather to highlight the ones that best reflect your expertise.
Industry expertise
Indicate your industry expertise to help us match you with the most relevant projects. For many clients, this is a key factor, so include all industries where you have experience.
You can select up to 5 industries. Choose the ones that best align with the types of projects you’d like to work on.
Daily rate
Enter your daily rate. This amount is just an estimate and will only be visible to our team. You can always adjust it based on each project’s requirements and scope, and our team is available to help you position yourself effectively.
Travel expenses should not be included as they can be negotiated separately with the client.
Location and working preferences
Enter your location and your working preferences.
You can also indicate if you are open to traveling abroad for certain projects. This doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll spend 100% of the project abroad—it depends on the client’s requirements and early discussions.
Languages
List all the languages you speak and specify your level of proficiency in each. Don’t forget to include your native language.
Phone number
Enter your phone number and select the correct country code from the dropdown menu.
If you need to update it later, you can edit your account settings after completing the application process.

Add a professional description
Create a compelling summary that clearly outlines your specific requirements, showcases your most relevant past work experiences, highlights your key skills, and includes any other preferences or accomplishments.
While this field is optional, it plays a vital role in helping our team match you with the best projects.
Showcase your experience as a freelance
This is the final step before submitting your Malt Strategy application. It’s optional but helps us better understand our community.
You can share whether you have previous freelancing experience or if you are just starting to explore freelancing as a new way of working. If you’re new to freelancing, we can also support you through your first steps as an independent professional.
Submit your application
After completing all the previous steps, you can submit your application. You also have the option to save it and review it later.
Your Malt Strategy account will only be accessible after our team reviews your application. Meanwhile, you can check the status of your application.
Our team will review your application within 3 business days and notify you by email.
If your profile meets the Malt Strategy criteria, we will schedule an interview to learn more about your project preferences and help find the best projects for you. Notifications will be sent by email.
If your experience and skills don’t meet the requirements, you will be informed by email and redirected to Malt’s marketplace. This redirection means the best opportunities for your profile are on the marketplace and is not an evaluation of your skill level.
