Everything you need to know about Micro-Consulting
Micro-consulting allows you to book a paid 1-hour call with a top freelancer expert directly on Malt to get fast advice, feedback, or strategic guidance on a specific challenge.
Whether you need help validating an idea, pressure-testing a strategy, solving a technical issue, or getting an expert opinion, you can quickly access experienced specialists without committing to a longer project.
Who are the freelancers available for calls?
This feature is currently in a very early beta phase.
For now, only a small group of highly selected freelancers have access. Freelancers are chosen based on advanced criteria, including:
- Strong expertise in highly demanded domains
- Seniority and proven experience
- High-quality profiles and track record
We are starting with a curated premium group to ensure a great experience and will progressively open access to more freelancers over time.
How much does it cost?
All prices displayed are hourly rates and already include Malt fees.
There are no additional fees on the client side, the price you see is the final price you pay.
For now, expert calls are available in a 1-hour format only, though additional durations may be introduced later.
How does it work?
Booking a consultation is simple:
- Browse expert profiles and choose the freelancer you want to speak with
- Select an available time slot in the freelancer’s calendar
- Share context or questions beforehand (some freelancers may ask for information in advance to prepare)
- Pay securely by credit card to confirm the booking
- Receive a Google Meet link by email for the session
- Meet the freelancer and get tailored expert advice
When will I be charged?
The session is prepaid at the time of booking, but payment is only finalized once you confirm the call took place.
This ensures a secure experience for both clients and freelancers.
When will the micro-consulting feature be available?
Micro-consulting should become available to clients this summer.
For now, only a small number of freelancers have access to the feature to test profile setup and ensure the experience works smoothly before launch.
We’ll progressively expand access as the feature evolves.
