Within Malt, Malt Strategy brings together a specialised, selected community of management consultants and transition managers. Members of this group must pass a rigorous selection process guaranteeing a high level of expertise and experience. To join, management consultants must demonstrate at least two years of experience in a recognised consulting firm, while transition managers are generally expected to have a minimum of ten years of professional experience, ideally in management positions. Malt Strategy experts do not appear in standard freelancer search results.

What are the methods for finding a freelancer?
There are two main ways to find freelancers on Malt:
- Use our search engine to browse freelancer profiles directly.
- Post a project and let our AI-based matching algorithm recommend the freelancers best suited to your needs.
If you are looking for management consultants or expert transition managers via Malt Strategy, you must submit a project with all required details so our team can identify the ideal consultant for you.

How do I use the search engine?
To find a freelancer, go to your dashboard and enter a keyword and location in the search bar. You will then see all available freelancer profiles, which you can refine using filters such as team recommendations, Super Malters, expertise, or experience level.

Browse profiles and contact freelancers directly by clicking the "Propose a project" button on their profile page. You can select and contact up to 6 freelancers to share your project with them.
To add more freelancers:
- Click "Select more freelancers" to return to search results.
- Add profiles by clicking "Add to my selection" on their profile page.
By selecting freelancers, you can contact them directly by sending a project proposal.
Sending a proposal to 3 freelancers instead of one increases your chances of receiving quotes by 50%.

You can remove freelancers from your selection at any time from their profile or via the selection module. Only one selection can be active at a time. Any new selection replaces the previous one.
How long is the selection kept?
- Logged-in users keep their selection for 24 hours from creation.
- Guests keep their selection only during their session or up to 24 hours, ending when the browser closes or after 4 hours of inactivity.
