What do the different offers mean?

In order to provide companies with the best conditions for collaborating with freelancers, Malt offers 3 levels of services:

  • Standard - 15% service fee

  • Advanced (50-1000 employees): 20% service fee

  • Corporate - Personalized service fees

Access to Malt Strategy is available with each plan. Please note that Malt Strategy features and services will incur additional fees.


Choose the offer that suits you via solutions adapted and personalized to all your freelance projects.

These fees are applied to the amount excluding taxes of the service invoiced by your freelancer for each project.

Service fees or Malt commission

💡 These offers are invoiced in the form of service fees on each mission that freelancers carry out through Malt.

When you receive your end-of-mission invoice statement, the two invoices (freelancer service and service fees) can be paid at once or separately depending on your internal processes:

  • A first invoice for you: concerning your service (invoice between the freelancer and you),

  • A second invoice for you as well: concerning the service fees (invoice between Malt and you),

  • A third invoice for the freelancer: concerning the Malt commission (invoice between Malt and the freelancer).

Is there a commission charged by Malt, on the freelance side?

Malt freelancers are not eligible to fees payment.

What does this commission finance?

This commission finances the operating costs of Malt:

  • Our role as business providers,

  • Features to secure missions,

  • Facilitate administrative management, as well as the actions of our community team responsible for leading and supporting our community of freelancers.

These operating costs allow us to offer our clients and freelancers numerous services, including:

  • Features that simplify the administrative management of your missions with freelancers

  • Support from a dedicated Account manager (from the Advanced plan)

  • Support for sourcing freelancers from our dedicated team (Corporate plan clients)

  • The cash advance which allows freelancers to be paid quickly at the end of the mission when you pay by invoice in 30 or 45 days

  • Real customer support when you need it

  • Protection of all missions to the tune of 20 million euros

  • Exclusive content and events aimed at freelancers
