Our policy

In order for freelancers to get paid for the work they do on Malt, they must provide specific legal documents that allow us (and our payment partners) to do the necessary due diligence to verify that they are currently in good legal standing. This is also done to protect you from falling prey to local laws and regulations concerning undeclared work.

The documents we collect

We collect all documents related to a freelancer’s professional (legal) status.

In addition, all freelancers registered on the site sign our General Terms and Conditions of Use, which clearly state that freelancers are independent service providers and that they are not employees of any company.

Our Terms & Conditions strictly prohibit subcontracting. The person carrying out the assignment must be the manager of his or her company and must carry out the assignment himself or herself and not his or her employees or subcontractors.

We're a freelance platform, not an agency or IT services company platform.
