Am I allowed to meet the freelancers I choose to work with?

The answer is a resounding yes!

Not only can you, but we highly encourage you to do so whenever possible. It's a great way to learn more about who they are, what skills they possess, if they have any questions about the project, etc.

Remember, Malt was created, first and foremost, to add a human touch to the freelancer-client relationship. If you both live and work in the same city, offering to meet in person for a coffee or have the freelancer work from your office from time to time is always a nice gesture.

How should I contact freelancers?

Before beginning a project, you may want to first arrange a video or phone call to introduce yourself to each other and discuss the project in more detail.

However, we still recommend that you keep written communications between yourself and the freelancers your work with via the Malt Inbox as much as possible. Not only is it more secure, but it will ensure you have a centralized archive of all communications related to a specific project and/or a specific freelancer.
