What is Malt's KYC and KYB policy?
KYC (Know Your Customer) and KYB (Know Your Business) at Malt. To comply with regulations, MANGOPAY must verify the identity of its users.
- For individuals, this process is called KYC (Know Your Customer).
- For companies, it is KYB (Know Your Business).
These checks apply to the main user as well as, in the case of a company, its beneficial owners. They allow MANGOPAY to meet its legal obligations and prevent its services from being used for fraud or money laundering.
What documents to provide?
During the KYC/KYB process, certain supporting documents are requested from freelancers (identity documents, company documents, etc.). Information you receive from freelancers on your dashboard must match that on official documents corresponding to their companies. The goal is simple: confirm identity and guarantee compliance of freelancers registered on Malt to secure every transaction.
What are the subcontracting rules?
All freelancers registered on the site sign our Terms of Use, which specify that freelancers are independent service providers and are not employees of your company.
Our terms of use include a formal prohibition on subcontracting. The person performing the mission must be the manager of their company and must perform the mission in person (intuitu personae) and not have it performed by their employees or subcontractors.
