When you complete a project on Malt, freelancer service fees and client service fees apply to your total invoice amount.
This article explains in detail how freelancer service fees work, their associated benefits, and how to factor these fees into your Average Daily Rate (ADR).
How much are the service fees?
In France, Spain, and Belgium, standard freelancer service fees can range from 5% to 10% (excluding tax), depending on the client.
💡 Good to know: In all cases, freelancer service fees drop to 5% (excluding tax) after 6 months on the same project.
The exact amount of the freelancer service fees is clearly displayed on the quote creation page. Malt automatically shows you the net amount you will receive at the end of the project, after these freelancer service fees are deducted. We encourage you to anticipate and factor this percentage into the total amount of your quote (by adjusting your ADR if necessary).
