When you create a quote for a client on Malt, we’ll clearly indicate the exact commission Malt takes on that project. It’s also recommended to factor this into the rate displayed on your profile.
There are three commission levels on Malt:
• 10% (excl. VAT): This is the standard entry commission applied when you contract a project with a client you met through the platform.
• 5% (excl. VAT): If your business relationship with a client lasts more than six months, Malt’s commission drops to 5%.
Example: You start a first 15-day project on January 1 with client X, then another 15-day project six months later. Malt will apply a 10% commission to the first project and 5% to the second.
• 2% (excl. VAT): If you invite your own clients to the platform, the commission is 2%
No worries — when you create your quote, you’ll be guided step by step to help you determine the final amount you’ll receive.
