What do I have to do if there's a change in my business's legal status?

First off, if there's ever a change to your business's legal status, you need to make sure the most up-to-date and accurate documents have been uploaded to your Malt account—in the "Company" section of your account. This includes your business's contact details, legal notices, VAT, and other pertinent legal documents.

As an example, you would need to do this (in France) if you changed your status from auto-entrepreneur to SASU.

If this change happens while you have projects in progress, don't worry! After you've updated your documents, just click on each project individually (from the "Projects" tab of your freelancer dashboard) and the platform will automatically ask to update your legal notices accordingly. Just confirm those changes, and you'll be good to go!
