What is the shareholder declaration?

A new regulation has been imposed on registered companies, requiring them to identify all of the company's shareholders (or beneficiaries). This declaration will be lodged at the clerk's office of the Commercial Court.

As a refresher, a shareholder is any person who directly or indirectly controls or owns the company (or any part of the company).

If you submit a shareholder declaration, our payment partner (Mangopay) requires us to perform one additional verification step before we can approve your account on Malt. To do this, you'll need to completely fill out, date, and sign the shareholder declaration form provided by Mangopay. All shareholders with at least 25% of shares must be declared. Please note that the information provided here will never appear on your Malt profile.
