How does Malt manage your currency?

At Malt, you now have the option of choosing from the following three currencies: Euros, US dollars, or Pounds sterling to pay freelancers.

Which currency to choose?

Our product sets your default currency based on your login site when you create your account.

Example: the account creation site used is www.malt.uk, the default currency will be Pounds.

The account creation site used is www.malt.fr, the default currency will be euros.

How do I change my business currency?

You can change your currency by logging directly into your business settings in the payment preference tab.

You have the choice between the three different currencies which are:

  • euro,

  • the dollars,

  • pounds.

How to change your currency

The change in currency will only impact the settlement of future projects.

In case you want to change the currency of a mission in progress, here is the procedure to follow:

  1. Ask the opinion of the freelancer for currency change.

  2. Ask the freelancer to end the current assignment.

  3. Sending of a new quote by the freelancer in this new currency.

  4. Acceptance of this quote by you.

  5. Pre-payment of the project in the case of pre-payment or commencement of the project (in case of payment by invoice).

  6. Achievement of the project.

  7. End of project validation and payment (in case of payment by invoice)
