6 tips for landing new projects on Malt

Ready to increase the number of projects you do on Malt? Our Freelance Community team has 6 great tips to share with you! 🚀

1- Update your profile

Visit your profile regularly to make sure it's always complete and up-to-date. This includes your availability, skills, and work experience.

2- Get recommendations

Did you know that you triple your chances of being contacted by a new client when a freelancer profile has at least three (3) recommendations?

If you don't have any recommendations yet or would like to add a few more to your profile, simply request one by clicking 👉 here.

And in case you're wondering, you can request recommendations from anyone within your professional network, whether or not they have a Malt account. All you need is their email to send the recommendation request – and we'll take care of the rest!

3- Respond quickly

Be sure to reply quickly whenever potential new clients reach out with project proposals. It's a great (and easy) way to showcase your professionalism. Not to mention, our algorithm gives preference to freelancers who respond quickly and positively. So, be sure you keep your availability up-to-date to avoid having to decline too many new project proposals.

4- Boost your visibility

The more projects you complete on Malt, the more your visibility increases, which boosts your chances of receiving even more project proposals from potential new clients. Malt rewards freelancers who remain committed to carrying out their work on Malt and making positive contributions to the Malt Community.

5- Use Malt Open

Malt Open allows you to take advantage of all of Malt's services with your existing clients. As an added perk, it gives your profile an immediate boost of visibility in Malt search results.

Even more, Malt Open is a great way to simplify ongoing administrative tasks (i.e. contracts, invoices, and payments) with your clients, especially with big companies that often have cumbersome legal processes or extended payment terms. This saves you time and also ensures you get paid for your services faster.

This is just one of the reasons why Malt is the go-to freelancing platform for 80% of the most prominent CAC 40 companies.

6- Highlight your past experience

There are a lot of ways that you can highlight your past work experience on your Malt profile - including via the easy-to-use portfolio feature. But whatever you do, make sure you're as clear, concise, and to the point as possible at all times. You want to provide just enough information to help potential new clients understand what you do at a quick glance.

And now, you've got all of the keys for creating a solid profile that will land lots of new projects on Malt! 🚀
